ABOUT ME

I have been working in the marketing, design and communications field for more than 20 years - starting as a public relations intern in the college relations office of my alma mater, Winthrop University.
I had a long career with The Post and Courier newspaper working in a variety of creative positions leaving to start my own business, Julie Nocida Creative LLC. My career has spanned from being a production artist knocking out quick designs on tight deadlines, to a creative manager leading every stage of the process. I have multimedia experience creating across diverse platforms: print, digital, email, social, signage and vehicle wraps.
I specialize in working with non-profits, with clients including Goodwill of Greater Washington, the American College of the Building Arts, Charleston Leaders, Pet Helpers, and Mepkin Abbey.
Today, I appreciate any creative challenge, large or small, and always relish the opportunity to learn new things.

I am a native of Kentucky but have spent nearly all of my life in South Carolina and currently live in Mount Pleasant just outside of Charleston. I am a big sports fan -- especially the Clemson Tigers, the Atlanta Falcons, and our own South Carolina Stingrays. I love living near the coast in an area that has a lot of fun unique things to do and a wonderful historic and natural environment to explore.
I share my home with two rescue cats Cooper and Santee. I am an animal lover and birdwatcher, a Conservation Steward with the South Carolina Aquarium and Guardian with the Charleston Animal Society and a member of the Audubon Society.
